Tunage

So, from lurking on Matt Logelin's blog, I found Last.fm, and on last.fm, I've found Halo33, which, it seems, is a dude who just remixes NIN stuff.
OK, I love NIN, so I guess I love Halo33.
Although, I have heard shit remixes of NIN, but so far, I am pleased. Check it:

Turning around on the Spears

I have no great love for Britney Spears. I don't have a deep spiritual connection to pop music in general. I know that my Katy Perry post below might seem to contradict that, but note that I said "deep spiritual connection" to pop. But I do like to work out to it, and listen to it when its good. I also can't STAND people who are all "I hate pop music, I am waaaaay too deep for that. I only listen to (insert indie music of the moment/classic punk band here)."
Sorry, I digress. Back to my point: Hot-Mess Spears. She played a small role on How I Met Your Mother.

Wait for it.

She was good. To be fair, she was playing a ditz who is hungry for love, so its not much of a stretch, but, her comedic timing was GOOD! All in all, she was good. She played the role well. I haven't seen her other acting (what was that roadtrip movie?)but in this role, I think its fair to say, she killed it.

Just an innocent little girl crush

Every once in a while, I will find one of those songs that I have to listen to over and over. Even once in a fewer while, I find a song that makes me find all the other songs an artist has done and listen to all of them over and over. Every once in a while Perezhilton.com highlights an artist, and the latest one is Katy Perry. The last one that I discovered through Perez was Amy Winehouse, who turned out to be huge. I suspect the same for Katy Perry. Not only does she have a great voice and a very accessible lyrical style, but she's super pretty. I thought God only gave with one hand. Why did she get to stand in both the talent AND the looks lines??

Enjoy.
I may even actually PAY for her album.

Well, hello old friend!

So, when I was in highschool, I was a bit of a rocker. I am glad that I used to deke out the camera like it was going to spit highly-corrosive flesh-eating acid at me, because I would NOT want to see any pictures of me from back then. Super tapered jeans, matte red lipstick, heavy black eyeliner, and a sullen expression just aren't as cool now as they used to be. Well, I guess they are if you are a teenage emo, but not if you are a 3o-ish year old woman. At any rate, I still love the music, and I am glad that Trent Reznor is still pumping it out. I have only JUST downloaded the freebie songs, and haven't heard them yet, so I am filled with hope at the promise of some new tunes to over-listen to. Check it out for yourself at NIN.com
