No one is perfect right? Even if they are freakishly near to perfect. Which my husband is. And I don't even think that's just me being all "in love" with him and everything. I try to maintain perspective, and I think he is near perfect.
This morning however, I found words coming out of my mouth that sounded suspiciously like...
...nagging.
I don't really want to be a nagger. Harridan is not a good color on me. So, I am going to put it out here in cyberspace, and you tell me if I was being unreasonable about the thing that irritated me. But, in the interests of presenting a balanced view of my husband, I will follow up with something I love about my husband. OK, here goes:
He makes me crazy when:
He puts a load of laundry in the wash, but then doesn't transfer it to the dryer for three days, thus allowing it to develop a moldy wet smell that does not go away when you dry it. You have to re-wash the whole thing, and even though we have a high-efficiency washer, I hate wasting the water. And the time. But...
I totally forgive him anything when:
He wakes up early on the weekend and goes to the Starbucks around the corner and gets me my grande nonfat caramel macchiato and a croissant, and brings it to me in bed. How sweet is THAT?
As perfect as the man is, I think this might be a recurring post.

Ohhhh, don't even get me started on husband-clothes-washing. Here's my thing... I never, EVER, ask j to do the laundry, but there's a few things he's compulsive about around our house: laundry and vacuuming. But if he's going to start the job, I want him to finish it, and he will do the same thing - start the laundry, wash and dry a few loads, start another load in the washer and then we'll leave for dinner or something. I assume the laundry is completed and not SITTING DAMP IN THE WASHER so I don't check on it. Until I go to do laundry and realize we have stinky, gross towels or whatever in the washer. It more than irks me. So far I've been able to get the stank out of the mildewy clothes, but we had to have a little "talk" about this. I told him either he needs to do all the laundry or just stop doing it. Seriously, I don't mind doing the laundry at all.
My mom keeps telling me to pick my battles, but smelly laundry is not something I'm going to let slide. :)
And in keeping with your post, I love my husband when: he lets the dogs out on a Saturday morning so I can keep sleeping.
How sweet of a hubby is he to bring you yummy goodness in bed :)
(makes up for all they silly things they do doesn't it?)
I TOTALLY forwarded this to Maulik to hint about getting up and getting me 'anything' lol
Hey! I know all about the good and the bad! D's little quirks definitely drive me crazy and then I remember all the sweet stuff that he does for me and why I married him. But I think venting is a good outlet. As someone else said - you gotta pick your battles. The way I see it, if I comment on how bad a job D did, then he will never offer to do it again. I try to keep positive...not always easy lol.
Oooh, caramel macchiato is my drink too. I love them. May I borrow your husband, for just one morning?
Oh, it sounds like you have a keeper! I totally get the laundry thing, which is why I guess I'm really glad that my hubby just leaves it for me.
Just visiting from NCLM . . .
