Olympics Debate (aka Poll Whore)

I'll work the poll mania out of my system, and will get back to posting about my bum uterus, but this, I find very interesting.




A space age suit. This is a marvel of technological advancement, but is it appropriate for competition? Before I go too much further, I must remind you all that I am a fattie who cares little for sports. I know they can be good for building character and leadership skills, and I like to drink while I watch them in a sports bar, but other than that, my knowledge of sports, the ethics, the psychology and all that, it is limited. Here's the thing though, in 2008, records will be shattered, but is it fair? Hells to the N-O. The playing field is not even. And, will they be providing everyone with these special suits? My suspicion is no. Athletes from countries with poor sports programs will have to swim in whatever they've got. This is not an accurate assessment of each individuals athletic ability, its an assessment of who's got the money. So, if some people have the magic suit, then they must all, really.

Either that, or swim in the buff.

That would make for a very interesting underwater shot indeed.
