Makes my Karma dirty...

...to take pleasure in other people's failings, but I just can't help it this morning. And, hey, who knows, perhaps it's not a "failing" per se. So, to start it all off, it's Monday today, and I am a student of the Garfield school of Mondays. Basically, they just suck. Rich and I have a few terse words this morning, because he takes it personally when I change the outfit I have just asked his opinion on, even when he's given me the thumbs up. Somehow, I think to him, it means that I don't trust/value his opinion, when in reality, I am just a fattie-boom-battie and its hard to dress this mess.
Then, I realise that I forgot my access card. I work over an hour's commute from where I live, so I am not about to turn around and go get it. To kill time until someone else is at the office to let me in (I get here at 8; office opens at 9) I decide to go to Starbucks. Great way to kill time I figure. For this mornings beverage I ordered a tall cinnamon dolce latte. Yum. This is where the joy/other people's failings come into play. The barista prepared 2 grande lattes for the woman ahead of me (who only ordered and paid for one) and he prepared a grande for me (when I only ordered and paid for a tall). Now, Mr. Big-Shot-Starbucks-Owner would def. consider that a failing I am sure, but perhaps this barista was just doing his part to alleviate the Mondays. Three cheers for Random Barista.
So then, I get back to the office after taking the mondo-traffic route back. Turned a 3-minute drive into a 15-minute drive. Discover that I have arrived just as another coworker has, and I can get in now. But, in my haste, I shut the keys in the car. It wasn't locked, but it did make it more difficult to call across the parking lot in time to make it in before the coworker dissapeared into the interior without me. Not to mention that I am wearing platform peep-toe wedge heels today (gorg.) and it made it hard to sprint across the lot. So, all in all, it hasn't been the WORST Monday ever, but certainly not the best. Clearly, the universe is busy f*cking up some other poor bastards day. I'm sure It will turn Its attention back to me soon enough.

Thank you again Random Barista. So far you have been the best part of my day.

UPDATE: Yes friends, it is officially Monday. Someone forgot to put on deodorant this morning. So, now, I smell like the guy that cleans my office. He's a friendly guy, so I like him, but I don't like how he smells.
